Welcome to our rose garden
In the south-east corner of the Tasmanian archipelago, nestled amongst ancient eucalypts and gently rolling terrain, sits Highcroft Hills.
Here, on seven acres of clay-loam soil, we grow five varieties of rosa x damascena and rosa x centifolia – 10,000 plants in all. Our terroir is unique. It’s kissed by cool, oceanic rainwater. Nourished by rich, active soils. Caressed by the cleanest air in the world. And bathed in life-giving sunlight. Combined with our mindful regenerative farming approach, our roses are gifted with exceptional bioactive compound availability. Through advanced extraction methodologies, we gently capture the complete bioactive spectrum in fully traceable, single-origin rose extract, hydrosol and essential oil, all imbued with the terroir of this remarkable place.
Roses command a quiet power — their complexity, their fragrance, the delicate care they demand.
What began as a personal passion, Highcroft Hills, has grown into a pursuit of exceptional rose extract, nurtured in the unique terroir of Tasmania. At the heart of my approach is a simple belief: our mission is our craft. I find joy in tending carefully curated rose varietals, guiding them from soil to oil, and seeking perfection in every step. This work is grounded in nature and imbues satisfaction – both personal and profound.
Traceability is central to everything I do. To me, it is more than transparency — it is about reconnecting people with he origins of what they use every day. My goal is to grow a fully traceable, natural ingredient that invites a return to the sensory richness of the natural world, offering a mindful alternative to synthetic formulations. I believe natural ingredients carry an integrity and complexity that cannot be replicated, and I am committed to sharing this with others.
This is not just about producing rose extract. Everything I do carries a sense of care, responsibility, and connection. It is about respect for process and outcome, and about creating something meaningful with patience and integrity — for today, and for generations to come.

Roots twist the lock of
earth’s deep heart,
Each bloom a key, a
work of art —
By tending gently, season
by season,
We unlock purity —
nature’s reason.
Highcroft Hills and it's Tasmanian team acknowledges the Palawa people; the traditional owners of Lutruwita / Tasmania. We respect their knowledge, connection and care of the land that we share and its ecosystems, and we pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
The Tasmanian Tiger is a symbol of time, place and guardianship.
Unique to its island home, our tiger reminds us of what can disappear when we fail to care for the world we inherit. Across cultures, the tiger represents power, mystery and quiet authority, embodying both beauty and strength while revealing nature as fragile and deeply revered. Once the silent custodian of its own wild garden, the Tasmanian Tiger now stands as a marker of what can be lost. It speaks to preservation: a belief that beauty, like the rose, must be carefully nurtured and fiercely protected.
